Saturday
I was very thankful that the snow of yesterday had been washed away by rain overnight
"So much to be thankful for"... We do have so much to be thankful for. To help myself realise that, each day on this Blog I`ll be writing or adding something that I`m counting my blessings for that day. It may be something seen, heard, felt, or..... just anything that`s given me joy or pleasure.
Went to my Dad`s grave this morning, and was pleased to see that his brother had placed some flowers for Christmas alongside our wreath. It gave me a good feeling that someone else remembers him.
Had a nice quiet, peaceful Christmas Day with my parent. Lovely to be just the two of us.
It cheered a dark morning seeing the dust-cart decorated with Christmas lights on my way to work
Quite a lot of blessings to count today.... a good carol service; the sight of children in a nativity scene; seeing a father`s care for a small boy; the spread of food given for a church tea; ...
Having got up with a bad headache, I was thankful that it eased this afternoon and I was able to get some jobs done.
Both the services at our church were very good today. The sermons were interesting and said a lot.
Had a most enjoyable evening with a friend enjoying the sights and sounds of a Christmas event
Saw over 55 decorated Christmas trees in a church, and as the daylight faded, so their beauty shone through even more. And it was so touching to see the generosity of people as they put coins in the collecting boxes.
