Thursday
A great day out with a friend at the Norfolk Show
"So much to be thankful for"... We do have so much to be thankful for. To help myself realise that, each day on this Blog I`ll be writing or adding something that I`m counting my blessings for that day. It may be something seen, heard, felt, or..... just anything that`s given me joy or pleasure.
It was lovely this afternoon to see a mother pheasant with 5 baby chicks, crossing the road in front of us, and to get really close to them as they pecked about on the grass verge.
The fish and chips for dinner were so good. We are so lucky to have no shortage of food like some countries do.
The help of two friends with some work this evening made me very grateful for their friendship.
Seeing a dog carrying a lion in its mouth on my way to work gave me a smile this morning. (not a real lion, it was a large cuddly toy)
I was thankful today for the gentleness and understanding of the nurse doing a test on me which I was a coward about.
I`ve seen so much beauty in the countryside this afternoon, both in the fresh green of growth in hedgerows and the sight of rabbits, squirrels and various birds. I`ve probably said it before but I give thanks for eyes to see it and ears to hear the sounds of nature.
Hearing the sound of young birds in a nest and seeing a parent bird enter it, was a lovely moment today.
